About Us
Background
I am of Korean heritage and was born and raised in Japan. Before entering the movement field, I worked in consulting and relocated to Singapore in 2019. Long desk hours led to persistent neck and lower back pain, including sciatica. Pilates was initially a way to manage those symptoms.
Through consistent practice, I rebuilt strength, energy, and confidence in my body. That experience inspired me to pursue formal education in Pilates.
Today, I lead MOMOQ Pilates Brisbane as a fully certified STOTT PILATES® Instructor and Rehab-informed Movement Coach, working primarily in private sessions.
Approach
Pilates is a structured and versatile method of exercise that can be adapted for beginners through to experienced movers. Using both mat and specialised equipment such as the Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, and Barrels, sessions combine strength, mobility, coordination, and control in a way that is both effective and engaging.
My programming is informed by current exercise science and guidelines such as those from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). I integrate these principles into Pilates sessions to ensure that sessions are progressive, appropriate to your capacity, and supportive of long-term health.
The aim is simple: to help you build strength, move with greater ease, and develop lasting confidence in your body.
Who I Work With
I work one-to-one with clients who:
- Are new to Pilates and want a safe introduction
- Are managing ongoing discomfort
- Are returning to exercise after injury
- Are navigating pre- or postnatal changes
- Want to build strength and mobility for long-term health
Each session begins with understanding your history, current condition, and goals. Programs are tailored carefully and progressed at a pace that feels manageable.
My approach is calm, attentive, and supportive. I value clear communication and aim to create an environment where you feel safe to move and build trust in your body.
Sessions are available in English and Japanese.

経歴について
東京都出身。前職はコンサルティング業界で勤務し、2019年にシンガポールへ移住しました。長時間のデスクワークによる首や腰の慢性的な痛み、坐骨神経痛がきっかけでピラティスを始めました。
継続する中で身体の不調が和らぎ、日々の生活が充実するのを実感した経験から、より専門的に学びたいと考え指導者の道へ進みました。
現在はSTOTT PILATES®認定インストラクター / Rehab-informed Movement Coachとして、主にプライベートセッションを行っています。
指導について
ピラティスは、初心者から経験者まで対応できる体系的なエクササイズメソッドです。マットやリフォーマーなどの専用マシンを用い、筋力・可動性・コントロールをバランスよく高めていきます。適度なチャレンジがありながらも、安全で楽しく継続しやすいことが大きな魅力です。
セッションでは、ACSM(American College of Sports Medicine)などの国際的な運動科学ガイドラインに基づき、安全で段階的にエクササイズを進めます。
健康のためにピラティスを始めたい方、慢性的な痛みを抱えて運動に不安のある方、リハビリ後の運動再開や怪我からの回復期の方、産前・産後のケアが必要な方など、それぞれの状況に合わせて無理のないペースで進めます。
日本語での指導を通して、皆様が安心して身体と向き合える場所でありたいと思っています。スタジオでお会いできることを楽しみにしております。
